so Elliot was made to help and work at the place as a sort of ai that could only answer basic questions with pre-scripted answers for the game (good for its time.) but with all the hacking and the scripting the games code and by extention himself getting more and more advanced and lifelike until the final burning down of the restaurant made the creator need to get rid of elliot as he was passed the point of advancements and practically just a pile of code after everything was destroyed.
Taph was made to work for the admins to destroy houses, but as sometimes he was also harmed by the tripmines they needed to quickly fix himself as the tripmines (in its prime) could fully delete things. When he started to get so damaged it fixed itself to be more sentient as it had no base code to go back to... then? he got stressed out by all the backlash he accidentally destroyed himself fully.
both of them end up with the other survivors as they cant really go to heaven or hell. Trying to maybe life semi-normally in this hell like people. Although its kind of hard when you are faking something so big like this....
