    Summary

“The Maedhros who stands before his son is not one thing but many. He is a struck-down statue. He is a fading demon. He is a sword in a nuclear war. He is historical debris. He is the sum of a nation’s ruin. He is the first sunset of the Empire’s apocalypse. He is Elrond’s beloved Baba, who would find him under every starless sky. Archives will dissect him. Historians will redeem him. Writers will swallow him whole.”

In 1937, notorious Indian revolutionaries Maedhros Fëanorian and his brother Maglor, take in a British colonial officer's twin sons and raise them to adulthood. Decades later, Elrond Peredhel, trying to leave a family tragedy behind in England, returns to India during a time of political turbulence and finds that everything, from the national landscape to his firebrand father, the ineffable Comrade Maedhros, has changed. Chapter 19: Epilogue, Afterword and 'Alternate' Ending.

    Summary

The sublimity of Muhammad's preaching in Mecca and the severity of his sermons in Medina make Islam a Janus-faced faith that forever bedevils the mind of the Musalmans.
What is more, as Muhammad is the fulcrum of the faith, this book deep delves into his persona, which unmistakably shaped the inimical course of Islam to which the ummah confines the Musalmans to their, and the others' hurt.
That apart, aided by “I’m Ok – You’re Ok”, the path-breaking work of Thomas A. Harris and Roland E Miller’s “Muslim Friends–Their Faith and Feeling”, this work for the first time ever, psycho-analyses the imperatives of the Muslim upbringing that has the potential to turn a faithful and a renegade alike into a fidayēn.
That being the case, this psycho-analytical work of logic and reasoning that critically appraises the Islamic credo of cultish proportions would make even the believers realize that Quran’s Median suras are contextual in nature meant to cater to Muhammad’s socio-political interests but not to further their mundane and spiritual wellbeing.
It is the novel treatment of the otherwise academic exercise that lends novelty to its narrative, making it astimulative and engaging read in the same vein.

    Summary

"Lullabies do not make kinslayers. This he knows. And yet, it never stops the worry from curdling in his chest, the only constant of all the cradles he has sung beside. For the tune endures after all, and nothing empty can truly endure: every vacant hroä holds a fragment of the fëa that once forsook it. Can a song be washed of meaning? Is tenderness immune to ideology? Groping about blindly in the dark of their dreams, Elrond had always worried that he was not watering the crops for his children to harvest, but salting the earth before the seeds could be planted."
    ___________________________
At a parade celebrating the the founding of Imladris, Elrond spots an unforgettable face in the crowd, a face he’s not seen for millennia. To his delight and apprehension, it is indeed Maglor Fëanorian, who brings with him two things. First, a suspiciously tame monkey he insists isn’t a metaphor. Second, the groundshaking admission that Elwing and Eärendil’s sons were not named Elrond and Elros.

Or, a love letter to Maglor, Elwing, and Elrond.

La verdad — oculta entre los muros de la casona, en el patio de esclavas, velos negros y criptas —, cuenta otra historia.

    Summary

and maybe, just maybe, find a reason to stay alive.

"sounds like big bro got a hot witch girlfriend and little bro got upset"

This is the story of two orphaned brothers in Colonial America during the witch trials. One of them falls in love with a real witch.

Inspired by lore from The Owl House, this is my own personal retelling of the story between Caleb and Philip Wittebane and the witch, Evelyn Clawthorne.

After nearly 15 hours of researching Colonial America and the Salem Witch Trials, this story has long since departed from the original limited narrative from The Owl House. As such, I've changed the characters names, and will be adding a lot of my own elements. However, the core theme still remain the same.

    James Halloway - Philip Wittebane
    Adeline Thornfield - Evelyn Clawethorne

    Summary

The fragile peace of a world without the Avatar is felt plainly. Although the Hundred Years War is over, and Iroh reigns as Fire Lord, many who supported Ozai during his usurpation of the throne push against his more tolerant and peaceful intentions. He is an older man now, and with his son unable to fight in the field and show himself as a powerful leader, his nephew Zuko is in line for the throne.

There is tension in the courts. Azula lives, and though officially pardoned, no one is certain she can be trusted with the reins of power again.

There is danger in the Fire Nation and its colonies, and whispers from the underground of Ba Sing Se that will pull the Four Nations into War once more.

If Prince Zuko is to unite the Fire Nation and aim it to a better future and peace, he'll need a wife more righteous than he. Even if she comes from the Water Tribe.

    Inspired by The Odyssey.

    Summary

This was actually a creative assignment for my course, but my OC was not created due to that. Here is the summative idea of my Werlyt daughter's story in English version.

Through Livia's perspective, I hope to explore the trauma and identity crisis that colonial rule brings to the individual. She longs to escape the identity imposed by the empire but is full of doubts about regaining her status as a “free person” due to past brainwashing and painful memories. In the novel, I try to express the internal conflict of people in a post-colonial situation—even after gaining freedom, the shadow of oppression still profoundly affects their self-identity. In front of the monument, Livia tries to re-adopt her original name “Una,” a process that symbolizes the oppressed's re-discovery and acceptance of their identity in the post-colonial period.
