Summary
“You’re my kid, Buck. I’m biased, of course I think you’re easy to love.”
And there’s something in there that Buck latches onto, and it wasn’t even Bobby bluntly saying that Buck was his kid.
Of course.
Of course I think you’re easy to love.
Of course.
Naturally. As might be expected. Needless to say. Obviously. Buck hadn’t expected himself to latch onto those two words, but maybe it was because Bobby had said them. And Buck hates that he doesn’t know what to do with those words, mouth opening and closing a few times before he decides that he needs more time to just think. Think of what to say and how to say it. “Of course?” Is what he ends up saying, and Bobby looks confused for a moment, trying to understand why out of anything that he had said, that was what the younger man seemed to have grasped. But then that confusion is gone just as quick as it had appeared, instead it’s replaced with a sad understanding.

“Buck’s a great dad. I would know, he’s my dad.” Chris sounds as angry as a teenager with a heart as big as his could be, Buck throwing a look over his shoulder to look at his son, the one that he would risk his life for. Had risked his life for.

Summary
Buck sits at the far end of the table in the 118 firehouse, the flickering overhead lights almost mocking the silence in the room. His fingers tap lightly against the table, a nervous rhythm he can’t stop, the sound of it strangely loud in the otherwise quiet space.
It’s just another day, another shift, but everything feels different now. The hum of the coffee machine and the soft murmur of conversations in the kitchen area are the only sounds filling the space. Buck glances over at Hen, Chimney, and Bobby, who are talking quietly amongst themselves. They don’t look his way. They don’t acknowledge his presence.

Buck's family has learned the words 'I'm fine' out of Buck's mouth is a lie.
Warning for a character dying/almost dying a few different ways.
(Just some random ideas of the 118 family being protective of Buck. May not be completely accurate to the television series).

Summary
What starts as a “sophisticated” wine-tasting night at Hen and Karen’s quickly turns into complete chaos when tequila and a game of truth or dare crash the party. Ravi’s laughing so hard he’s crying, Chimney is turning everyone’s embarrassing moments into blackmail material, and Maddie’s encouraging the madness like it’s an Olympic sport.
Meanwhile, Eddie—too tipsy to realize they’re being set up—ends up dancing to Sexy And I Know It. Buck admits to checking Eddies behind. And by the end of the night, Hen’s threatening to confiscate Chimney’s phone, Karen’s out of tequila, and everyone’s questioning their life choices (except Ravi, who’s too busy uploading pictures to a secret group chat).

In the background, the song I Kissed a Girl played softly, setting the perfect tone for the next question. Maddie looked at Eddie with a mischievous glint in her eye, clearly ready to make him squirm.
“So,” she started slowly, “have you ever thought about kissing a guy?”

Summary
“Did- Did Hen ever tell you that I slept with my therapist?”
If Karen was honest, out of everything that Buck could have said she could easily say that hadn’t been what she had been expecting to hear; but she keeps her face calm and just nods. “Yeah, baby, she did.” Is what she says, but there wasn’t even a sliver of judgement inside her voice and Buck can help but feel nothing but relief.
“Can I- Can I explain what actually happened but lately I can’t- I can’t stop thinking about it and I need someone else to tell me that I’m reading into it. That I’m seeing things wrong.” Karen listens as Buck speaks, looking at the frown on his face and the way that his hands tremble in his lap, so Karen reaching out and takes one of them into both of her own; something comforting and grounding. Buck gives her hand a squeeze back in turn, a silent thank you without ever having to say anything.
“I’ll listen, baby. Talk to me.”

Summary
Karen Wilson is a fascinating character on paper, but she is criminally under utilized by the 911 writers. So I have claimed her as my own and decided to write a character study. This explores the events of season 7 and gives a hopeful ending to get us through to season 8.
