Summary
Harry and Louis were born into boxes. Not literal ones, but the neat little social packages everyone else seemed perfectly happy to live in: Harry with the Alvas, Louis with the Omvas. Labels, roles, expectations - an inherited system dating all the way back to the long-mutated Alphas and Omegas.
The problem? Neither of them had ever quite fit the mould. Too restless, too questioning, too… wrong. So when the chance came up - two separate invitations to one of the Mindfulness Facilities that had been set up specifically for people like them - they both jumped at it. A last-ditch attempt, really: either to finally learn how to play the part society wanted, or to admit, once and for all, that they never would.
They didn’t expect to meet each other there. They didn’t expect the instant spark, the easy rhythm, the strange way their thoughts seemed to match. And they definitely didn’t expect the gut-punch attraction that followed. Completely inconvenient, by the way, seeing as both of them were already tied up in other relationships.
From opposite ends of the Alva–Omva scale, they meet in the messy, impossible middle. And the more time they spend together, the harder their perfect fit becomes to ignore.

The first time I met Louis Tomlinson was only a few minutes after his boyfriend was trying to push his tongue down my throat. I met Harry Styles approximately five hours before that, at a stadium where he was giving his last LA show, and where I was supposed to meet my high school best friend, who at that time was in a public relationship with the ex-boy bander. I also had an article to write about the "popstar of the decade," with a rather tight deadline and my job on the line. Everyone, well, a few dozen paparazzo and journalists, thought that they would be having dinner together after the show. That wasn't the case. In fact when I got to the stadium Kalina was already gone. But let me start the story a few hours earlier.
