Anakin threw his comlink onto the table and stalked across his room to drop his weight on the bed. He wiped a hand over his face, sighing. He hadn’t been to visit Padmé in weeks. She was right to be upset. It felt like every time they were able to meet that she rejected his advances, still angry about having been ignored for so long. Even when they were together, Anakin hardly tried to make an advance anymore.
Maybe that was why he kept thinking of Obi-Wan in perverse ways.

He’s so…so bright, Anakin thinks, staring down at the young teenager in his arms. Despite the flickering of his Force signature, each time it blinks to life Anakin feels nearly blinded by his Light in the Living Force— Anakin had never seen someone so bright, so…pure in the Force.

To be honest, as a Jedi, Anakin was not aware of what happened to the birth rate of his kind. Why would he? The Jedi had nothing to do with it.
So, he didn’t know that things were so bad that the Senate created a new Program to bring together alpha, beta and omega couples to try to prevent the extinction of people with secondary gender in the Galaxy. And Anakin would supported this, honestly. He’d even be part of the Program… that’s it if he hadn’t already found his mate.
The only problem was that his omega appeared in his life too early… and now Anakin would have to see Obi-Wan being courted by other alphas without him being able to do anything about it.
Force, how would he bearer it?
The answer is simple: He wouldn’t it.

When Anakin notices his good friend - the man who had done so much for him, was so welcoming when he first arrived, to this day was helping to shield his relationship with Padmé from prying eyes - gazes a little too long at his padawan he thinks nothing of offering to send Obi-Wan to entertain the chancellor.

In an earlier life, Vader might have gathered his floppy body and set out to drop him back upon the doorstep which he was taken from. But that life is no more. The child is here now. Sidious will have him become an inquisitor, thus an inquisitor Vader will make him into.
Somehow.
(In the midst of ongoing skirmishes with a growing Rebel movement, Vader picks up a very young Obi-Wan traveling alone in a desert and begins the process of molding the boy into a sith's apprentice. It is harder than he expected, thanks in no small part to his meddling ex-wife.)
