METSON-013 is the 14th iteration of the Metal Sonic line, and he's determined to also be the last.
His core objective is to surpass Sonic the Hedgehog. Years of failure, doubt, and uncertainty have led him to draw one conclusion on the subject: if he ever wants to fulfill his objective, he needs to get away from the Doctor.
That conclusion leads him to a second conclusion: his best chance of remaining out of the Doctor's clutches is to disguise himself and live amongst organics until he gets the resources for a better plan than that.
Living a quiet, anonymous life shouldn't be difficult.
(He'll soon find out that it's the hardest thing he's ever done.)

It wasn't easy at first, she had to get rid of most of her valuables, ditch her electronics and use an alias name when travelling abroad so that she couldn't be tracked. Eventually the months had turned into years and she had settled into a nice and comfortable life with new friends, but there was one person she never lost contact with all these years. A trusted friend turned into a potential lover. What she didn't count on was that Sonic had never given up on looking for her.
