She can tell his tough and, honestly terrifying, personality was only a portrayal of what he felt he needed to be. And she couldn't help but want to peel back those layers. MC is strong and willful, pushing herself to always be better than her competitor, yet her mental state feels like it's slowly eroding. Some events are rearranged, and I will not be including Erudite taking over Dauntless bc... well, it doesn't fit my love story, nor my fantasy lol. And the choosing ceremony now takes places at 18.

I couldn’t breathe, no matter how much I heaved, air seemed to fly right past me. The broken lands seemed to only crumble more as I fled. Practicing how to throw punches with another initiate might not be the best end game for you. You need someone with more experience. More authority.”
