    Summary

The Absolute Crisis may be over, but Baldur's Gate is a mess.

The city cowers under martial law as its remaining leaders struggle to reassemble the government and direct rebuilding efforts. As the memory of the Absolute's threat begins to fade, old and new tensions simmer, threatening to boil. And at the center of the mess and controversy, the grand duke's son, Wyll Ravengard, has been elected as a duke of the city.

As a former Flaming Fist and the eldest daughter of a High Harper, Rion knows better than most just how deep corruption runs in Baldur's Gate. So, she's surprised—and suspicious—when the Gate's newest duke wants her for his personal bodyguard. Are the Harpers yet another faction vying for the new duke's heart and mind—or perhaps his head?

When does duty become love? When does service become tyranny? And who gets to choose?

    Summary

Jaheira and Gale just want to know why the Gazette's crosswords have so many errors.

The halfling they kidnapped might be able to help.

Gale scowled in indignant fury. “I completed my first Gazette tenthday — with quill and ink, mind you — when I was still an apprentice at Blackstaff. Do not presume to tell me I am simply overeager or unfamiliar with technique.”

    Summary

After six failed attempts and one quiet truth in the Underdark, Gale Dekarios finally hears the yes he's longed for. On Simril, the longest night, when stars burn brightest, a wizard and a rogue illithid celebrate their union beneath watching stars and drifting spores. A story of proposals, autonomy, and love that fruits slowly, like mycelium through soil.

Created from the prompt: A Gale and illithid wedding!!! I want to see Gale's grand romantic gestures for his squiddy beloved!

Visions flooded you–shared journals annotated with doodled portraits and playful counter-arguments; quiet nights debating the taxonomy of stars versus fungal spores–how constellations bloom once and burn out, while mycelial networks fruit again and again, patient and perennial beneath the earth; futures of joint research, peaceful retreats to both tower and Underdark, exploration of Faerun and beyond, growth unhurried and mutual.

    25 Dec 2025

    Bookmarker's Notes

Three months ago the app had been a joke. Her cubs—bored, evil, and far too clever—had set up the profile while she was out tracking a philandering spice merchant through abandoned warehouses. They’d used a photo from last Wintershield, filled the bio with lines like “Veteran of countless storms, seeking calm harbors and someone else to pay the rent,” and set the monthly ask at “enough to retire yesterday.”

Jaheira had discovered it over breakfast, threatened to ground them until they were fifty, then left the profile live. Partly to watch them squirm. Partly because the Harper pension was a pittance and her private-eye office currently consisted of one desk, zero clients, and a coffee mug that read “World’s Okayest Mom.”
