La primera vez que notó que sus ojos veían a su compañero de una forma distinta fue cuando lo abrazó en Abu Dhabi. Max acababa de ganar su primer título como campeón del mundo. Estaba rodeado de su equipo, embriagado y perdido entre un mar de gente que golpeaba su espalda, hombros y casco con júbilo. Él, aturdido y con sus manos frías, temblaba por la adrenalina y tenía la sensación de que su corazón no cabía en su pecho.
Entonces vio el rostro de Sergio asomarse detrás del hombro de uno de los técnicos y una súbita claridad lo llevó a extender sus brazos hacia él, avanzando a destiempo para abrazarlo con la necesidad desnuda y casi sin aliento. Fue como si el mundo se alinease en ese sólo instante.

Ainosuke knew how to deal with prosecutors, electoral fraud and how to persuade a Police Chief for his benefit, but while Japan could tolerate an indiscretion with a minor to an extent, it surely wouldn't tolerate an indiscretion with an underaged man. Especially considering that Shindo had just avoided charges for perjury not three months ago.

Max Verstappen is the racing idol of many, having shaken the motorsport world in the 80s. He drove in the most thrilling, most deadly class of rally, until the tragic accident of 1986 due to his co-pilot’s mistake made him unable to drive anymore, and he eventually crumbled under the consequences of the crash.
Sergio Pérez, the current defending F1 champion of 2022 who has been Max’s fan since childhood, is among those who think it’s unfair, so unfair that young talent has left the world too soon.
And, when Newey invites Sergio to test out an unbelievably, almost supernaturally fast Valkyrie, he faces the opportunity to fix the unfortunate past.

Summary
Sergio (Checo) Pérez is competing for the 2028 World Drivers' Championship against the new addition to his team, Max Verstappen, driver with who he shares a dark and intimate past, and currently despises entirely.
So when they both find themselves in the same team after two years of being apart, the racing and competition against each other becomes personal, causing old wounds to be reopened and the past to start haunting them once again.
Will it end well o will they die trying?
