It was starting to get harder and harder to keep his eyes open bit he wanted to. He wanted to continue seeing Lan Wangji but his body was betraying him. “It’s alright, Wei Ying. You can go back to sleep. I will be here when you wake again.”

Wei Wuxian did not die at Nevernight. Somehow, he survived but he had been trapped in a coma for over a year. When he woke, Lan Wangji was with him and he had been dutifully tending to Wei Wuxian for that year.
