Summary
Link is a blacksmith assistant. His job is preparing the smithery for his uncle, nothing more. He isn't the inheritor of a great bloodline, let alone the reincarnation of a legendary hero.
And still—after a chance encounter with Princess Zelda, he signs up to help her stop a returning evil from a past era, but he can’t help being filled with doubts: Can he fill the role of hero when he wasn’t chosen by the gods for the job? Can he succeed where people greater than him failed? Can he be with the girl he loves, when they’re from vastly different worlds?

Summary
Zelda always believed that her beloved hero Link was invincible. He defeated the Calamity. He defeated the Demon King. He returned Zelda to her Hylian form after she had undergone a transformation that it was said to be irreversible. There's nothing Link cannot do. There's nothing that can keep Link down for long.
Or, at least, that's what Zelda believed. As she finds out, one doesn't go through all what Link had gone through without earning a few mental scars.
And Zelda realizes that not only Link is not invulnerable, but he's on the verge of shattering completely. What can she do to keep him from finally breaking down?

AU/Retelling of Ocarina of Time.
He is a boy from deep within the forest without a fairy companion of his own.

Young Link is a boy living in the Kokiri Forest who does not have a fairy companion of his own. Yet, when he is called to venture outside his home and the only world he's ever known, he realizes that not only is the land in danger, he is the one that must save it. Along the way, he comes across a young girl who claims to be a friend of the Princess he has been assigned to meet by the Great Deku Tree. But despite her appearance, she's not what she seems. And, when the truth is finally revealed, he will do anything to find her again, even after seven long years...
