Along the way, he comes across a young girl who claims to be a friend of the Princess he has been assigned to meet by the Great Deku Tree. But despite her appearance, she's not what she seems. And, when the truth is finally revealed, he will do anything to find her again, even after seven long years...

Seven years have passed since Ganon, the King of Darkness, was sealed inside of the Four Sword. Now, free at last, Ganon sets in motion a plan to obtain the Triforce of the Goddesses, which was scattered through Hyrule ages ago. And the world will once need the Four Heroes who are One.
This is the prologue to a Zelda fanfic i was planning around 2023-2024. It was a sequel to both Twilight Princess and Four Swords Adventures, two games that i felt that ended with some loose threads. Both also happen to be two of my favorite Zelda games.
Since it was already made when i decided to cancel the fanfic, i have decided to publish it as a one-shot.

A small restaurant called Octo's, run by a former Gerudo guard named Nalah—it was themed to local Gerudo sports, like seal racing and dance competitions. Special nights were held where the tournaments would be broadcast live, courtesy of the Lucky Gazette.
It sounded good on paper—Link had signed on to be a waiter and was ready to start his new job when Riju hit him with the worst caveat: the uniforms.
Link, having retired from being a knight, begins to work at a new Gerudo establishment called Octo's.
Unfortunately for him, a new, esteemed customer takes an interest in him.

After the calamity, Zelda finds Link. Realizing he was watching her from the start, she softly smiled. He declared her the hero of Hyrule, then asking her, "...Do you really remember me?"Two to three months later, Link and Zelda help Hyrule to rebuild. Visiting friends, having drastic changes happen to themselves. This happiness would soon dissolve when getting a letter for a request to go underneath Hyrule castle and find out where the gloom was emitting from. Link picked up a white and glowing stone that had fallen off a decaying Zonai hand. Then, in a twist of fate, Link was sent back to the past, meeting King Rauru and Queen Sonia, the founders of Hyrule. He soon meets Ganondorf, confused and afraid at first, but soon realized he loved the demon king. He knew it was horrible and forbidden, but how can he survive without him? What shall he do?
