This was low-key kind of inspired by Double Life (yes the despicable me song, don't come for me). I wrote most of it in one weekend.

So so so sad and very scary at the same time...southern Gothic in the same way that the "cask of amontillado," "a rose for Emily," and "the fall of the house of Usher" are. Your actions are futile and your story is tragic but there will always be something beautiful about your story...finally becoming a part of a family. Hm.
