But even in her wildest dreams Taylor couldn’t imagine that the scariest of them, the Hope-Killer, would react to Eidolon’s death that way. That Eidolon in his unconscious desire gave her not only the urge to fight him. That, maybe, Simurgh could be a real ally after all; and that Simurgh could possess some humanity in the face of the apocalypse as well.

But where Weaver didn’t have anybody who would be ready to push through her walls and convictions, Taylor still had a girl who would do anything for her – and unlike with Taylor, for that girl it didn’t mean sacrificing her life. Mostly. But just having Lisa near her on this day already meant everything to Taylor.

Adrien ignores the tease. (He ignores the little flutter her question stirs in his belly too.) Instead he gives Marinette his brightest, most encouraging smile. "You're amazing. The person you confess to is really lucky!"
"Lou’re yucky, too! I mean I’m lucky. No, you’re lucky! Ah! I mean I hope he thinks he’s lucky. I mean, do you really think he’s lucky?"
Adrien feels his smile soften as he waits patiently for Marinette to get out what she wants to say. It's no wonder she wanted to practice her confession. She struggles so much to get her words out sometimes. He can only imagine how much worse it is with her crush.
"Of course I do," he says warmly. "You should confess. I'm sure that boy will be really happy you did."
Marinette's face brightens and the sight combined with the happiness at being able to help, drives Adrien to continue, "You’re such a wonderful friend, Marinette. I’m sure all of your friends want to see you happy this way."
