Summary
Atsushi can smell emotions. It was a survival skill that had helped him throughout his life.
But there is this certain scent that piqued his interest. A scent that he can't quite discern. The scent he picked up whenever his mentor and Mafia Executive Nakahara Chuuya interacts. It confuses him.
They definitely care for each other. So why? Why did both try to hide it under cold front and barbed insults? Why pretend to be oblivious and ignore it?

Atsushi fidgets in his seat, trying to find a way to ask the question he'd been meaning to ask the Mafia Executive for awhile.
"If you have something to say kid, spit it out. I don't have all day,"
"Are you in love with Dazai-san?"
Said Executive merely raised an eyebrow, staring back at him.
"Is this about Akutagawa?"
Atsushi did not expect that.
OR
Atsushi confronts Chuuya about his relationship with his mentor, but gets advice about Akutagawa instead.
