Summary

This is a beginner's guide / primer / introduction for readers and writers (possibly better titled “Guide to the Archives”, as someone suggested on Facebook — though that makes me feel like Virgil to some Dantean cerchio or bolgia, prompting me to think instead “Guìdo della archivio” [my 13-14c Genoan is a bit rusty, seriously, so I hope that I got that right]). My later tutorials in this series cover somewhat more advanced stuff, but I've seen so many people (sometimes long-timers) in need of the basic stuff that I finally decided to write this.
One Stop Shop-'n'-Drop? Not quite, but it explains a lot of things that you might not find easily (in some cases, not for years), or might assume work like some other site (which is a hit or miss assumption), and will point you to a number of resources.

There is something both thrilling and intimate about watching someone when they think no one is around, seeing how they behave in the vacuum of other people’s perception.
Regulus momentarily sheds his poise when he wrestles with the ancient lock, tote bags precariously balanced on his shoulders and neat curls just beginning to frizz and frazzle in the humidity. He mutters something James is too far away to hear, but it is most certainly a curse.
It’s oddly endearing.

But everyone knows what happens if you don’t go through with it, so they can do nothing but try to recall and respect their drunken promises or be met by sweet old death. OrJames is a professional football player who cannot believe his eyes when he sees the gorgeous med student responsible for his care after he tore his ACL during his game and sets out on the mission to make him fall in love with him, stumbling over obstacles while unveiling family secrets and dealing with the pressure of being queer in the homophobic environment that is the world of professional football.
Regulus is just a med student in his fourth year trying to finish his degree without adding additional stress to the mix of his already fucked up life, when one famous football player stumbles into his life and decides to haunt him from that moment on, trying to make him fall in love with him while forcing him to confront a lof of the demons hiding in his head.
