    Ryland Grace is trying to find his footing in a world where he's been blacklisted from what feels like every higher academic institution in the world. Teaching middle school science wasn't really where he planned on ending up, but he's enjoying it far more than his other academic career. Sure, his students can be unbearable at times, but it's not like they're going to publicly humiliate and ridicule him about his life's work.
    Sierra Six is trying to get out from under the feet of people who'd rather see him dead in a ditch somewhere, all while adamantly not thinking to hard about the death of the closest person he had to a father. It's admittedly a bit difficult when he's become responsible for the wellbeing of a teenager who was practically said man's daughter; He is qualified for many things, but being a father is not one of them.

    “I’ll take my food out of the fridge,” Colt adds from the kitchen.
    “And I’ll take the dead body out,” Ryland answers with a sigh as he steps in the entry. He really would have loved nothing more than to spend his sleep time in a bed and not in the back seat of a car, but that wish was over when the man came closer than he had in the last two days and followed him into the stairwell.

    The door opens. 

    Claire chokes. Ryland is standing there in blue PJ pants and an oversized PBS t-shirt. He's rubbing his eyes, which are missing his glasses, which makes it even more obvious how similar they look. When his hand falls away, Six watches him process what is standing at his door. His eyes go from Six, down to Claire, then back up to Six. 

    He laughs, high and stressed, then closes the door in their face.

    OR, Six needs help taking care of Claire after they break free from their respective jails. He decides that his younger brother Ryland Grace is the solution.
