It was hardly his fault. Growing up knowing the love of your life was going to be ancient was bound to have some kind of impact.
He'd developed kind of old-fashioned tastes, old music, films, books. When he was younger, he'd take Burt Lancaster and Kirk Douglas in Tough Guys, over Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer in Top Gun any day.
And the old men he'd pursued over the years had all been such dears. He'd gotten a real reputation at some of the retirement homes.
Tony has the soul mark of someone born nearly 50 years before him. He spends most of his life preparing accordingly.
