Summary
Inspired by an AU prompt from Twitter user Tiger21.
Zoey is struggling. Work sucks, life is a constant drag, and even her hobby as a streamer feels more like work than fun at times. One of her only real comforts is her favourite artist, Rumi, seems to be moving into a new era, one Zoey is excited to follow. So, when a chatter starts to help with her cash flow problems, maybe a little give and take is fair play? When her friend Mira comes back into her life, and with this new bit of fun on the horizon, maybe things are starting to look up?
Rumi is finally free. After years of struggling under the light and airy image the studio had chained her to, her contract is over, and she can make the music she wants, do the things she wants, and she can stop putting on the performance. When one of her only real outlets, a small streamer who seems to be a fan that she has found herself watching time and time again, admits to having money problems, she doesn't think twice about throwing cash at the issue. When it starts to become more than that, she starts to hope that maybe this new chapter in her life will have some new characters too.

Caitlyn fiddled with her headset, having finally found the green button on the side and hastily letting out a rather breathless reply. “Um, yes. Hello? This is Houston. I copy.”
There was a long pause in which Caitlyn sat twiddling her thumbs, anxiety pushing the frantic pulse of her heartbeat through her eardrums. Was that wrong? Did she already fuck up? She took a steady deep breath, finger hovering over the talk button until the familiar voice of the astronaut came through her headset once more.
“Damn, Houston. I didn’t expect you to sound so sexy.”

Technoblade is a Protector. That means it was his job to take down the hunters that caused the Mer colonies to live in fear. A difficult but necessary job that he did with enthusiasm. A week after he kills the lead hunter, Dream, he finally get's around to checking out the Hunter Compound. What he finds there will change his life forever.
Tommy has been in his tank for as long as he can remember. He likes his tank. He has rocks and toys and friend fish and food fish too. Dream even got him a crab at one point. But the crab was mean and it pinched him so Dream took the crab away. There's plants that he can snuggle with and holes in the rocks for him to sleep in. Tommy has always lived in his tank. It's all he knows.
But then Dream doesn't come back one day.

Or: My take on a DSMP Mer AU without it being Dark. Techno is basically a 20 year old who found a toddler and went, "Mine now!" But then remembered he doesn't know how babies work and then has a minor panic attack about it and resolves to be the Best Dad Ever™. Red lost his pod before he could be Named. That's fine - he'll choose one in his little cove. Tommy sounds quite nice. Humans taking him from his cozy little cove, however, was not on his bucket list. He never wanted to be caught or sold. He knew what humans did to Mer. The entire reason he had half of his scars, the reason his pod scattered and he was lost to the currents of the sea, the reason a fucking touch on the shoulder could send him to tears - it was all because of humans.

Phil and Wilbur destroy Mer fighting rings and help out at a rescue. Of course, the red-scaled Mer Wilbur took a liking to was fighsty as all hell. Phil could never turn a kid in need awa- goddammit Wilbur, your puppy eyes are not needed-
