Maybe it would've been better if he had taken her away himself upon their first meeting instead of digging deep into the doctor's torture chamber of a facility, believing she'd escape unharmed by herself. Maybe it would've saved her a lifetime of trauma and grief. Regardless of her affiliation with the FBI, Grace was still young, inexperienced in the horrific life Leon had lived for 28 years. Immediately, the blurry figure’s head snaps over to look at him. “Are you awake, or just talking in your sleep again?” an unfamiliar voice demands—low, with a twitch of an accent that Simon doesn’t recognize.
Simon blinks, but his vision only clears minimally. The ceiling is an off-white blur that smears as he turns his head to look at the stranger. He doesn’t recognize him; bandages obscure the details of his face. “I talk in my sleep?” he asks.

Not that he was complaining. Percy wouldn’t be alive today without the power of his friends’ magic. And certainly in all the chaos and emotion after his temporary death, they couldn’t be blamed for minor details slipping their minds. It was hardly a common situation to deal with. And arrows at least were obvious, what with the shaft sticking out of the wound and all. Of course you would remember to remove those before doing a healing. Bullets were, by nature, a smaller presence.
Which was why he now had several of them healed into his body. Not that he was complaining.
