He felt like he was supposed to meet him, somewhere else, and in other circumstances. Maybe that way, they would've been great friends to each other.

“Perhaps… But it’d be nice.” Cale had always had a sort of blunt way of speaking when he was alone with their companions. “So don’t destroy anything. At least wait until then.” He had been quiet, like it was taking most of his energy to force Raon into a promise that would restrain the true extent of his sorrow for upwards of centuries.
