Viktor watched as Professor Talis left the room, broad shouldered and greying dark hair resting against the collar of his tailored jacket. Well, shit. Viktor wanted to rip his hair out. This was not how he wanted his lab work to go today. He looked around the lab and saw other students staring at him with interest and a bit of pity, knowing he was going to get reprimanded. Viktor lost his patience with the attention, snapping at them, “Well, what are you looking at? Don’t you have something better to do?”
They quickly turned back to their own experiments, wide eyed and chastised, and left Viktor to clean up all the black soot in solitude.
