Summary
There were three things Dean Winchester knew for certain: you can never trust an alpha, love makes you stupid, and his boyfriend was a lying sack of shit.
Dean's weakness for blue eyes and a sexy accent had clouded his better judgment and now he was paying the price. Benny was using their relationship to funnel money from Dean's garage to pay for his gambling habit. The omega had finally figured out that the alpha was no good, he just had to find a way to get rid of him before his life was ruined.
Unfortunately for them both, an old bill was about to come due.
As the pakhan's top advisor, the last thing Castiel wanted to do was travel to Kansas to extract payback on a bad debt. The job was beneath him, but Benny had access to something the bratva wanted. He turned up in rehab several weeks later and permanently cut off all contact with the outside world.
A heartbroken Castiel tuned into a bitter one. When the entire cast of the show was reunited for a fan convention on board a cruise ship, old wounds resurfaced.

Adam Milligan should have known that the offer was too good to be true. His new job, in exchange for full tuition, was a five-year contract to run the medical clinic in Redemption, Colorado. The road to get there wasn’t on any of the maps Adam had checked. His new boss assured him that the town was very real, even if it appeared to be in the armpit of nowhere. Population, not listed on any census, anywhere.
What he finds, is a bustling town that for all intents and purposes seems very much removed from the rest of the world. The people were friendly, but there was just something he couldn’t quite put his finger on. It wasn’t bad, things just seemed to be a bit…off.
The only resident of Redemption he has trouble pinning down lives in a cabin up the mountain and seems determined to avoid the town as much as possible. Michael is a taciturn man with a knack for getting injured and quickly becomes a semi-regular patient. He's a self-professed hunter who, curiously, has never brought a kill into town, and Adam has a hard time believing that one man could survive as many bear and wolf attacks as the man claims.
None of it added up. Adam was determined to uncover the truth about Redemption.

While hunting a hellhound, Cas gets weirdly nervous around Dean wearing the hellhound glasses. Turns out, hellhounds are not the only things Dean can see with them. And if he doesn't put them down once they relieve the after hunt tension, well, that's not exclusively his fault.

Summary
When Castiel was homeless it took a toll on his physical, mental and emotional health. He never told Sam or Dean about it. He felt shame but he turns that shame into helping homeless people out whenever Sam and Dean are asleep, or he's not with them. He knows he shouldn't keep it a secret but he can't bring himself to tell the brothers what he's doing because then he'd have to explain how he really lived as a human.
Castiel just wants to help everyone out.
Sam and Dean are concerned that their friend is hiding something from them.
