As provided by the author:
Doyle was working undercover in an art gallery when there was a bomb attack. When he recovered from serious head injuries, he had no memory of CI5 or his relationship with his partner Bodie. He believes he is an artist and that all his work was destroyed in the explosion. Cowley was also injured in the attack and together they retired to a remote Scottish castle. The new head of CI5 receives information that a hostile agency wants his predecessor to interrogate for information. A second ex-CI5 agent, vulnerable and confused, would be an irresistible bonus. Bodie, who has continued in CI5 alone and unpartnered, is reluctantly sent up undercover to protect his former colleagues. Rationally, he knows that if Doyle has not regained his memory by now, he is unlikely to do so, but secretly he can’t help hoping that their meeting might fire up all those buried memories… -

During the summer of 1981 a series of unsolved murders are passed to CI5 as they involve civil servants and Cowley has an itch that needs scratching. During routine enquiries a fingerprint is found and the identity of the killer is found to have links to Bodie's past and also Belfast. To begin with it is thought that the target may be Bodie but Cowley makes a connection that could implicate another member of the squad. With one member of the squad injured and one on the missing list will they be able to prevent the killer from striking again? How will traumatic events from the past affect the present? -

Frenchie has always known he’s special.
He has always been able to see a little more than ordinary people can. See not just the shadows, but what lies within them. He’ll be the first to admit that his gifts are not as strong as his Great Aunt’s were, the gifts usually being passed down through the female line. Mind you, he’s been as queer as a nine bob note since his balls dropped so that might explain why they passed to him, watered down though they are.

In which Stede Bonnet discovers his inner sadist, Izzy Hands discovers care & love as it fits him, and Ed gets to be as soft as he's ever wanted to be. Just not without a few scars along the way.
Post season 1 reunion fic with a focus on Stizzy/Gentlehands as a leadup to eventual Steddy Hands. Accuracy around history, piracy, and medicine are on the backburner. It's eventually very hopeful and loving, I think, but it takes a little while to get there. Check the notes at the beginning (and beginnings of each chapter) for more trigger/content warnings.

Summary
It’s strange and awkward, the three of them navigating the same space like this. Stede can’t help thinking glumly to himself on more than one occasion over the next several days that everything is much easier when sex is involved, even though the sex is, in fact, more than tricky enough on its own. Being near Izzy in public feels like walking a tightrope, dizzying and dangerous and like one faltering step will be Stede’s downfall. He keeps thinking about what Izzy said, and he says to Ed one night almost a week out from Izzy’s whipping:
“He really loves you, doesn’t he?”
“Whaaaat,” Ed says, nestled up against Stede’s side before the crackling fire on a thick, fur rug they’ve only recently acquired. “That’s not what the next part says, is it?”
