James takes a sip of lemonade, taking his role as designated driver very seriously as always. He has a smudge of dirt on his nose from ‘wrestling a conifer the size of a bear’, but Sirius doesn’t think to mention it because he’s somewhat preoccupied with his own problems, which, for the avoidance of doubt, are many and insurmountable.
“Your face?”
“Yes, exactly! It’ll give me away the second he sees me. He’ll know right away that eight bloody years has done nothing at all to dampen it down. Dripping with hurt. As if I don’t still feel-”

Summary
As if having to do community service for a stupid drug offense isn't bad enough, Simon gets stuck with none other than Bad Boy Prince Wilhelm who is working off the hours he received for getting into a club fight.
Simon is not interested in getting to know Wilhelm, no matter how secretly intrigued he is by the prince's tattoos and his nose ring. Unfortunately, it turns out that Wilhelm has an actual personality that is hard to resist.

Summary
Briefly, he considers pulling out his phone and dropping Intro to Fiction and Poetry.
In the end, he forces himself towards the cafeteria. Maybe lunch will make him feel better, maybe it will help him make sense of the way Wilhelm had just spoken to him. So casual and kind, like he had never ripped Simon’s world in half and ground his heart into dust.
But maybe that’s exactly what Simon had always been to him: casual.

Summary
“What are you doing here Wille?” The cabinet door slams closed and they both jump at the sound. He winces, setting down the mug with slightly shaking hands.
“Let’s try this again.” Simon sighs, closing his eyes to rub at his temple in frustration. He tries to school his voice and expression into something calmer and more nonchalant than he feels; “What are you doing in front of my home without any kind of warning? It’s been nearly three years, Wille. You understand that you can’t just do that, right?”

Simon is at a turning point in his new fast paced life in the city of London. He’s finally landed a major breakout role onstage, in the West End revival of the musical “Spring Awakening”. It seems as though all of his stars are finally aligning.
Things take a turn when Wilhelm, who still lives in Stockholm and now works as a fashion designer after giving up his title, shows up out of the blue with a request that leaves him feeling blindsided and unmoored.
The past and the present find themselves tangled together as they are forced to confront their past mistakes, their lingering feelings toward one another and the secrets of their relationship which still keep them tied together.

Summary
He looks the same—hair longer, features a little bit more defined, yes, but, other than that, absolutely nothing’s different. It’s the same face he used to wake up to, he used to kiss and trace with his fingertips late at night, the same face that he didn’t get to see when he left their apartment without once looking back. An arm distance away. God, he can feel the tips of his fingers tingling with the need to touch the skin of that neck.
Wilhelm takes a deep breath, tries to force a friendly smile on his face, thinks he fails miserably.
Simon has always been able to tell, anyway.
