Red laughs again, and the sound is something Bee is starting to get addicted to. Like wind chimes in a thunderstorm, fragile and soft around the wind. Red and Bee walk towards the entrance of the shuttle, and their hands brush against each other. It sends a spark up Bee’s body, the fact that they’re in bulky spacesuits notwithstanding, and Bee lets themself smile at the pleasant and familiar warmth in their chest.
Bee was always a fast one, when it came to infatuation, and maybe a happy little crush is just the thing to get them through their first mission.
Their first mission...to kill all the crewmates on the Skeld. Including Red.

Apollo reacts immediately, and the instinctive response is gratifying on its own. His brow creases, he turns, and when he catches sight of Klavier, a disbelieving smile spreads across his lips, and Klavier realizes quite suddenly that, even after two years, he has not gotten over Apollo Justice, not even a little.

Summary
The entirety of Ivy U is smitten with Klavier Gavin—with one exception. Apollo Justice could do without Klavier’s constant presence in the quad, where he serenades passerby with acoustic versions of his band's songs. Apollo is also not particularly fond of Klavier’s clothes, his hair, his tendency to sprinkle German into his conversations, or the fact that, despite all of this, Klavier is still at the top of the class.
So when Klavier asks Apollo to help him start a club for aspiring lawyers on campus, Apollo isn’t entirely sure why he accepts. It’s a resume builder, he tells himself. It’s not like he has to like the guy.
Except, well....he's starting to think that he might.

Outside, the city lights blur as they zip past, and she releases a sigh, allows herself that much.
