That night, he’d taken Kaeya back to his room at the Knight’s headquarters, indulged him the acknowledgement of his own ties to Khaenri’ah, and held him as he cried for reasons he hadn’t yet understood. What brought him back the night after, pushing himself into the arms of the artificial man, he wasn’t sure, but from then, they’d had an unspoken agreement, sharing quiet moments together as they could.

Fortunately for the painter, there's shelter nestled in the thicket and a welcoming host to invite him inside the manor. But Albedo isn't naive, he knows his saftey dangles on the whims of a tired nobleman and he knows he can't stay for long.
