Atsumu's silly fancy from when he was a teenager is a thing of the past, Kiyoomi barely remembers the brazen confessions, the earnestness of those feelings.
“I—” Atsumu hesitates, looking up with a jerk. He looks panicked, frantic and unsure with wide eyes and a trembling mouth. Kiyoomi is scared too, the shape of Atsumu is still burned inside his body but his chest has already gone hollow.
“I like you,” Atsumu says. “I like you so much.” He pauses for a long moment before amending, “I love you. I’m sorry.”
It was never supposed to be like this.Alternatively: Five (5) times Atsumu (kind of) confesses and the one (1) time Kiyoomi takes his turn.
