Summary
And maybe it’s because Reno is exhausted. Maybe it’s because No. 6 is still thrumming in his veins. Maybe it’s because his body is moving faster than his mind. Or maybe it’s just the fact that they’re alive, they’re alive and breathing and the next day could spell their last that makes Reno continue to close the gap between them.
Maybe it’s also the fact that he’s wanted to kiss Iharu since they got to the fourth division.

Summary
Silver gasped, breath billowing in front of him. Despite his first hopes, he had ended up in a ruined future, it was the only explanation for the sight before him. He had to go back and fix it, right away.
Turning a full 180, his eyes locked onto the portal flexing the space around it. The edges shimmered with otherworldly power and he hesitated.
Then, in a flourish of blinding light, the portal disintegrated in front of his eyes.
That had never happened before.

When Silver is stranded in a ruined future with barely any life, his only course of action is to try and find a Chaos Emerald in order to return to the past. At the same time, Shadow and Omega are on a journey to try and find a new body for the recently body-less Omega. When the three of them have a chance meetup, they decide to travel together. As they move across the strange, chaos energy tainted land, they have to rely on the bond they form with each other to survive whatever the future decides to throw at them.

Summary
Space rippled around me in languid bursts like gentle waves lapping at a beach. Sonic was still sleeping, something else must have caused the movement. Curiosity led me further into the dark where it was hard to even see distant memories. But I wasn’t focused on them anymore. Ahead of me, colors unfurled across space, an aurora of pale blues and greens. They solidified into a wispy field where wind blew white petals through the air.
My form stuttered as something at the center started to take shape. Bright blue lifted out of the wispy grass with eyes just as green. The person stood and looked up towards the pale sky, a smile on their face. Despite their ghostly appearance, there was something familiar to them.

While exploring Sonic's mind as he's sleeping, Silver stumbles upon an area he hasn't yet seen and experiences something he never thought he'd get to experience.

Summary
And that’s where he thought his night would end. He’d drop Reki off, head back home and start thinking of how he was going to tackle his beef with Adam next week.
Instead, he ended up actually parking the moped and turning it off. Reki slid off with a slight wince favoring one of his legs and eventhough he was trying to wave Langa off saying he was fine, Langa wasn’t having any of it.

After the events of Episode 11, Langa tends to Reki's various cuts and scrapes and the two end up staying up a little later than intended.

Summary
Sonic gradually slowed to a walk. His hand trailed across the rough tree bark and he let the foliage brush against his legs. He had noticed himself paying attention to the physicality of his environment more and hadn’t really felt a need to stop. He always hoped Silver was enjoying it. Then he spotted what he had been looking for, a delicate flower growing in a patch of sunlight and moss, its thin vines twisting up the irregular surface of the tree. He approached it and crouched so he was sitting on his heels.
After a moment just examining the flower, he said, “You should come smell this for a moment.” He knew Silver didn’t often plug into that sense but this was going to be good and he knew his brain buddy would want in on this particular sensation. He got a tap of acknowledgement on his shoulder. “Ok, ok. What’s your thoughts on this one?”

“What?”
`Hikaru` raises an eyebrow, gestures to his friend(ha ha)’s torso. Yoshiki still hasn’t even unbuttoned his shirt, and a flush of red overpowers his cheeks. Something squirms behind his eyes with the emotional rush, but he forces himself to close them and take a deep breath before responding.
“The… hole?” He doesn’t know what to call it.
“Yeah, duh.”
Yoshiki swallows, shaking his head. “Um, no, I-I have no idea.”

Asako’s smiling again, the same kind she wore this morning.
“You didn’t answer my question from before.”
“Hm?” And maybe he’s sorry about that. For taking away half of Asako’s gift; for seeing her life as merely expendable. It was kind of stupid to repay her for all the time they’ve spent together and all the times Asako made Hikaru feel alive by nearly killing her.
Asako’s eyes shine with curiosity now. That’s not good, Hikaru knows. It’s better to be scared and grieving, and to ultimately look away. It’d keep her safe. Her hearing already puts her at enough risk. Curiosity killed the cat, didn’t it?
“What exactly are you?”

“Dragonflies spend most of their lives as nymphs—that’s their juvenile stage—underwater. They’re only like this for a month or so, before they die.” That’s just the way it is. Dragonflies grow those magnificent wings mainly to fly around and find a mate to breed with. Once they’ve passed on their genes, there’s no need for them to keep wasting energy… by continuing to live.
That’s just the way it is.
“Huh…” Hikaru breathes, “I didn’t know any o’ that. Yer really smart, huh? Way smarter than me.”
“Nah.” He only wishes he knew less. “I don’t know anything at all.”
