Started writing this series in 2020, and then COVID hit and work became a total shitshow and pretty much tanked my capacity for anything else, so here we are adding to it in 2023. I do have fics outlined and in some cases drafted for all the Fëanorians, but clearly I have already proven myself inept at posting remotely on time. Pretty varied in length, tone, and content, so heed the tags.

At least, that is what Ludinus Da'leth told him, when he offered Essek shelter in exchange for his particular expertise. Essek's own recollection is—

Summary
The first letter Essek receives from Caleb Widogast is secreted into his pocket at some point during a tense interview with the Bright Queen. For the life of him, Essek cannot figure out how it was done. He doesn’t recall so much as brushing against the other man as he escorted the Mighty Nein out of the Lucid Bastion.
Yet when he returns to his office, there it is, tucked into a nearly invisible pocket in his mantle — a piece of subpar parchment folded to vaguely resemble a cat’s face with tiny pointed ears.
