Summary
Eddie's hand is warm and slightly calloused and his fingers are trembling just a little and Buck suddenly can't remember how to breathe.
Veronica moves in with the needle and Eddie's grip tightens, crushing, bones grinding together. Buck doesn't mind. Buck doesn't mind at all. Buck would let Eddie pulverize every metacarpal in his hand into calcium powder, reduce his entire skeletal structure to fine calcium dust, if it helped even a little.
"You're doing great," Buck says.
"I haven't done anything yet, she hasn't even started."
"You sat in the chair. That's huge."
"That's literally the bare minimum."
"The bare minimum is still an accomplishment when you're scared."
Or,
Eddie is scared of needles, so Buck holds his hand.- Language:

Summary
Control has always been Eddie’s thing. Not because he likes it or it makes him feel powerful. But because control is what had seeped into his bones at eight years old when he became the man of the house, and he never knew how to let it go. And, Eddie has learned, over and over, that other people’s control often comes with a cost he’s the one expected to pay. His father’s control of the Diaz family left Eddie in charge. His mother’s control over the Diaz family reputation led him to standing outside a gay bar at 32 and not 18 with a fake ID just to get a taste.
He thinks of his father. The way Ramon Diaz can look at you and make it feel like you’re eight years old again, standing too straight, trying too hard, waiting for judgment. Eddie thinks of his mother’s quiet commentary, the way she can make disappointment sound like concern and call it love. He thinks of church—stale incense, polished wood, the heavy expectation that you were supposed to come in already knowing the rules and abide by them, or else.
Hen’s voice loops in his head, calm and offhand.Dating shouldn’t feel like a performance.
or, Eddie Diaz falls in love with Buck and it makes him question everything he knows

Summary
“You’re not my dad Buck so stop acting like it!,” Chris yelled, chest heaving at the admission.
Buck felt his whole life flash before his eyes before he corrected his posture, stance tall, shoulders back, face neutral.
“You’re right, I’m not your dad, but I’m still in charge of you until he gets home. He said you weren’t allowed to go to the party on a school night, and I passed along the message. If you have a problem with it, take it up with him when he gets home in twenty minutes,” Buck said calmly, leaving Chris’s room, closing the door behind him.
Or. Buck gets into an argument with Chris and flees to visit Bobby’s grave. Eddie follows him to bring the man that he loves back home.

Summary
He feels the empty side of his bed like it's a gaping hole in his chest. Feels it when he's laying down and there isn't a cuddly Buck sleeping against his chest or trying to fuse with Eddie while he slightly drools.
Eddie misses him.
But it's not the only thing he's missing.
Because he's missing so much shit that he thinks he needs to go see a doctor about his nonexistent memory issues.
Or Eddies things keep going missing and he starts to lose his mind a little bit

Summary
Eddie says, desperately, “We weren’t doing anything.”
Christopher looks at Buck. “Were you about to kiss him?”
Buck’s face goes bright red in a way Eddie didn’t know Buck’s face could go. “No!”
Christopher looks at Eddie. “Were you about to let him?”
Eddie’s whole body heats. “No.”
Or five times they were just friends and one time they weren’t
