It’s disappointing, but it’s life, Lee tries to reason. He’ll most likely forget about all of it in a few days. It was just a fleeting encounter. As pretty as the stranger was, they are not close. And now, Lee can never be close; he has to accept that.
It’s with a sigh that Lee starts the motor of his car to get his friends to their homes safely.

It does two things to Lee. It starts a crazy fluttering in his stomach, rising all the way to his heart until its less beating and more trying to vibrate out of his ribcage.
And it makes a smirk spread onto his lips, eyes looking around at all the people studying at other tables that are being greeted by their joint hands. Being forced to admit that Ghlaijai is Lee's and no one better even think otherwise.
