Summary
Borne out of convenience because fucking each other is easier and safer than trying to hook up with “outsiders,” Jimin and Jungkook develop a long term "friends with benefits" situationship that lasts more than 15 years. Over time they establish deep feelings for each other. Protectiveness, trust, safety. Love. But is it a brotherly love or a romantic love? Jungkook slowly realizes that through this nearly ideal friends with benefits situation, Jimin is teaching him how to be a boyfriend, a partner, even a husband. They stay like this through their whole time in Bangtan, through the solo era and comebacks, even choosing to enlist together because of how close they are - genuinely - the closest of friends. In their post-enlistment comeback, they continue to enjoy the trust, affection, and fantastic sex life they have developed over the years. It just works.
But then Bangtan disbands. Finally they are free to date whoever they like, no longer needing to keep secrets or be bound by no-dating clauses in contracts.
So what happens when the need for this relationship of convenience is over?

If anyone were to describe Jeongguk, they wouldn't be able to without mentioning Jimin.

Summary
He always feels a bit like they’re stuck in a race where Jungkook is faster than him. Where he’s miles ahead and unreachable in a way that’s unfathomable. Where Jimin is struggling to keep up and is forever destined to stare at Jungkook’s back, a hand perpetually extended to try and reach for him.
Jimin doesn’t want to surpass Jungkook. He just wants to run alongside him. As an equal, as a friend, as a partner. Is that truly so much to ask for?
Or: Following the end of their Vietnam trip, Jimin stumbles across a video compilation of the rocky relationship he had with Jungkook at the very beginning of their debut years. Slapped with a blast from the past and suddenly drowning in insecurities he thought he'd long suppressed, he decides that slowly pulling away from Jungkook is the only right thing to do.
Jungkook, however—a redeemed man, a pining expert, and someone with an extremely low tolerance for any kind of space between them—has much to say about it.
