    In interviews, he looks almost corny— the large yellow visor and fur-lined jacket trying a bit too hard to look recognizable, his hair seemingly crafted to look as wind-swept as possible— but up close, it doesn’t look like a costume at all. It looks natural, good; soft in a way you hadn’t been expecting. They edit out the bags under his eyes, or cover them with makeup, and while you aren’t exactly pleased to see someone who’s supposed to be protecting your city looking so worn down, you appreciate seeing the humanity in the living legend.

     
    Or, you're a diehard Best Jeanist fan who has no affinity for Pro Hero Hawks whatsoever. But after a few chance encounters, you think that the winged hero might be growing on you.

    Denki has a quirk accident while training with friends, injuring all of them and himself. He finds himself outcasted by everyone he knows. Recovery and forgiveness are long roads, but Denki doesn't plan on quitting anytime soon.

     

    *** 5/29/2025: I am currently going through and updating some spelling and grammar issues throughout the fic, along with re-wording some things to help with the flow of it. I wrote this fic when I was 17 and in the last two years, my style has changed quite a bit in a way I feel is more comprehensive and I feel like it's time that I edit this. I'm also trying to get back into writing fics and I think this is a good first step. I'm hoping to perfect this as much as possible and make it worthy of the love it's received.     It's dark and misty here. That’s the first thing that runs through the underground hero, Shouta Aizawa. Shouta had been called in for an emergency case. The social worker had insisted that someone with experience handling “troubled” children be there. He hadn’t expected this.

     

    The girl– you were pressed into his side, small and fragile, trembling faintly. You looked like you were barely keeping yourself upright, but you were trying. Even as your body swayed slightly, even as your breathing came out unsteady, you held yourself together with sheer will. Shouta could tell immediately you were sick. Something was seriously wrong.   

    So, he steps in.

    Adopting children was not something Aizawa Shouta thought he would do. Especially alone. He’d figure, maybe, after a few years, when he’s settled. Maybe when he has more money– a stable relationship, or a stable job. But, when life gives you lemons.

However, part of him knew that his feelings would be pretty hurt if his wrist turns up blank. He went through most of his life alone; constantly told that he has the perfect quirk for a villain, that he can never be a hero. It would be nice to have someone by his side. Someone to comfort him, love him the way he is, support his dreams.'
