“We’re roommates,” Ivan answers immediately, no hesitation whatsoever in his reply. Till wonders if he anticipated the question and had an answer ready in case it was asked, which probably makes the response even worse, because respectfully, what the fuck.
The answer catches Till off guard, his mouth hanging slightly open as he turns to Ivan.
Till blinks, then echoes, “Roommates.”
“But we’re not dating… or anything,” he adds, a nervous glance sent Till’s way as he avoids direct eye contact. A first for the other boy, given how intensely he looks at Till literally every other second.
Roommates but not dating anything, my ass. What did they think they were?
Or, Till reminds Ivan that they do a lot of things that roommates don’t usually do.

Summary
Placing a thumb over Ivan’s pulse, Till continues pulling at the skin, elated when it goes along with his whims. Ivan’s heart seems to increase its pace. Eleven, twelve, thirteen, Till counts each thud in his head. Then, there’s a pause. Fourteen arrives a beat too late. Satisfied, Till moves to suck on a spot close to the vein. Fifteen, he counts, also a couple of beats delayed.
When he lifts his head, he finds Ivan’s skin already changing into a deeper shade. Hickeys and black eyes follow the same principle, Ivan had told him, in the aftermath of the first time they had done this. The pressure above the skin causes the delicate capillaries underneath to shatter, which then results in the blood gathering in the surrounding area. Of course, only one of these actions is more societally acceptable than the other, although they both carry a fair degree of shame. A little fitting for us, don’t you think?

“Would it be so bad if I stayed?”
The raven walks over to him. Careful, calculated steps, as if he’s afraid that the next might be the wrong one. He cages Till against his seat, his presence so inviting and starting to feel like the familiarity of home that he’s missed for so long, and yet something still feels missing.
“I’m not your Ivan,” he says slowly.
His response is quick. Practiced. “I know.”
“Do you, really?”
“I do,” Till urges, but he wonders if it’s really Ivan that he’s trying to convince.
When the rebellion steals a device from the segyein that allows its users to travel to alternate timelines, Till finds himself transported to a parallel world where Ivan is alive.

Summary
Till’s eyes are an endless ocean to drown in, harbouring just as much depth and calmness as they are a brutal force of nature, driven by pure rawness and passion. Beautiful and dangerous and mesmerizing and – oh.
He didn’t mean to make this about Till, but even if he gets back to his point of being a man who is nearly impossible to surprise, it leads Ivan back to him, inevitable. If there’s someone who actually manages to catch him off guard, it’s Till – but for once, it’s not in that positive, exciting way but rather… unsettling.

Till takes in a shaky breath, and the physical absence of a familiar weight on his shoulders throbs like an open wound in the hollow space between his lungs.
It’s always been Ivan’s role, to chase after Till until he got too tired to run away, constantly orbiting around him, unbearably close. Till’s fingers feel numb all of a sudden, the screen of his phone darkens under his turbulent gaze—his legs tremble, just slightly. But he’s getting quite tired of running in circles.
Before the fear can get the better of him, Till taps on the keyboard and hits send.
‘hey, r u coming back home for the break?’
Every chase must eventually reach its end. The question is: what do you want its ending to be?

Opening his eyes and finding them drifting towards the man who slowly pulled the car to a slow stop as the traffic light turned red, using that moment to turn his own head towards Till. A soft smile forming on his lips as his eyes crinkled with mirth, a stunning sight that caused Till’s heart to race and his palms to become sweaty.
“You’ll make me blush if you keep staring at me like that.”
“Shut up and focus on the road!” Till spat out, feeling his face heat up with embarrassment at being caught staring so openly at the other. Fighting to calm his heart as Ivan began to laugh at his reaction, eyes lingering on Till for a moment longer before turning his attention back to the road as the light turned green.
University student Till and Popular idol Ivan are childhood friends who both believe are in one-sided love with the other, neither wanting to ruin their friendship by admitting their feelings.

He slowly releases his leg, like his body is still stuck to that damn ice, that irritating perfection. Ivan bows again—dry, respectful, calculated down to the last degree. Nothing beyond what’s required. When he straightens, his eyes scan the stands without hurry, automatic, professional.
But even so, he finds Till.
“Arrogant bastard,” he mutters again, already standing.
Between cold, gleaming ice rinks and dinners charged with ulterior motives, Till finds himself lost in his turbulent relationship with Ivan.
