“Butt!”
Sam wasn’t even sure how he heard it. It was a loud nightclub. Louder at the bar. Sam turned to the word, his drink sloshing in the movement. Sam felt hot, even in his crop top. Body heat oozed everywhere despite what the club was doing to cool everyone down. He knew his makeup in theory shouldn’t smudge from the sweat, but he still had his worries.
Who had formed that word, though? Sam found a man looking horrifyingly embarrassed. Sam wasn’t sure if the man had the worst sunburn ever or was blushing that badly. No. Sam was pretty sure the man was blushing. A sunburn would probably look flakier and more peely.
Sam raised an eyebrow, amused.
“Did you just yell ‘butt’ at me?” asked Sam.
“Uh… no?” the man clearly lied.
