His wings still had the same base they’d always had - skin and muscle and bone, familiar limbs that he was used to. But rather than feathers, what was growing out of them were small, feather-shaped sheets of ice. They rattled softly together like icicles when he moved.
Scott couldn’t feel cold anymore. But he found as he wrapped his wings around himself (a childish reaction, but an instinctive one) that unlike the beautiful white feathers he was used to, the ice wings couldn’t make him feel warm, either.

Well, maybe that's a tad bit inaccurate. Grian has no need to hate June 21st. Grian, or Grian's body at least, never experienced anything bad on June 21st.
It's the little bit of Grian that still thinks of himself as the broken child, the one buried in an abandoned cemetery next to a smoldering chapel, that's hates that day.
It's the bit of Xelqua in Grain that despises June 21st.

He releases the bolt, and it thuds into the wall behind the target. He lowers the crossbow with a huff, wings tensing behind him as he glares at the bolt, the fifth one to embed itself in the wall.
It’s several feet to the left of the target, far too off for him to even try and claim that he had just been a little off. He hears someone laugh, looking over to his left. He has to turn his head all the way around to face the person laughing at him.

The thing that bothers Scott the most is the yellow feather on a chain around Tango's neck - it looks like Jimmy's feather, so of course he wants it. (He promises he's over Jimmy, he just...wants to annoy the other man). He's not expecting Jimmy to transform into a completely different person when Scott tears the necklace from Tango's neck, and he's not expecting what follows.
To be fair, he sorta deserves it.
or discord made a headcanon where jimmy gives tango a feather as engagement, and scott takes it away. jimmy proceeds to be the scariest and most op mfer on the server. as he deserves

Tango has weird dreams where he talks to this sheriff character, who insists, in turn, that he is the one dreaming. Which made no sense! The Sheriff was just a voice inside his head. Wasn't he...? Still, it all felt strangely familiar, and he couldn't put his finger on why.

"All of you fly home safely now," Jimmy said, reaching up to tip his hat downwards in farewell.
Jimmy nearly gasped when his hand gripped onto nothing.
His sheriff's hat wasn't on his head!
That could mean one of two things. It fell off as the group hurried to leave the mines or someone snatched it off of him while they were catching their breaths. Jimmy quickly ruled out the first option. He distinctly remembered firmly holding his hat in place while he pulled Gem along as the group booked it out of the mines. That only left the second option.
"Hey, who's got my hat?" Jimmy asked.
