Summary
The night was calm, quiet. Everyone in the monastery asleep besides one.
The white ninja had shot awake with a shuddered gasp as the last of his dream faded from his vision. He surveyed the room, eyes landing on each of the ninja sleeping peacefully. He envied how peaceful they all looked, while he was sitting awake in his bed, shaking.
Tears welled in his eyes as the lump in his throat grew. He stood up, padding to the door and shutting it behind him as quietly as he could. Stumbling down the hall, he came to the doors and walked out into the cool night air, inhaling deeply despite his lack of need for air. He walked towards the center of the courtyard, sitting cross legged on the ground. His breathing hitched as he fought for composure, tears pricking the corners of his eyes as his vision blurred. It was just a dream, wasn’t it?
OR Zane has a nightmare and Cole finds him in the courtyard and comforts him.
