Yes, his precious little white lotus was gone, but he wasn’t mourning him. He was mourning his own limbs. He was stressing because of all of careful work was ruined thanks to that shitty System. He had every reason to be a bit sad!
Shen Qingqiu comes up with the brilliant idea to protect the sect when the blackened protagonist makes his bloody return. He'll just leave! He can finally enjoy this world, and an angry demon emperor won't tear his precious disciples apart! Even if he dies, he has a mushroom backup waiting to go, so he's going to be just fine.
Like everything in his life, this doesn't turn out how he thought it would. Binghe is back early and he is out for his Shizun's head. So, time to run and hide like the scum villain he is.
