Summary
Steve pulled him into a kiss, filled with a fondness for the other boy. The kiss was innocent, just a peck really, but Steve wanted more already. He didn’t push, letting Eddie set the pace and allowing the kiss to remain light and sweet. Eddie’s lips were chapped, a side effect of him biting on them all the time but Steve found himself liking that sensation too. He supposed he just liked everything about Eddie so this wasn’t anything new.
Or: Steve and Eddie have sex after Steve has a nightmare.

Summary
Eddie does not do well with following directions. Especially when those directions do not align with doing whatever he fancies.
If Eddie really wanted to psychoanalyze, go all armchair psychologist, he’d blame it on his years in foster care. The years before he was finally placed with Wayne. All the days and weeks and months of… not having control over anything.
So moving in with Wayne meant freedom. Meant control. Meant growing out all his hair and chopping in layers. Meant getting tattoos and listening to music and donning clothes that made mothers call him devil worshipper. Because he could.
But it all, apparently, might be end up being what sends Steve Harrington into an early grave.

Summary
“Wanna go home,” Steve mumbles at some point, which is the most sense he’s made so far.
“Okay,” Eddie says, voice breaking. “Yeah, you can—tell me about home, Steve, come on.”
But then Steve lapses back into half-nonsensical muttering. After a while, Eddie realises that some of what Steve’s saying refers to past events all out of order, him hearing Dustin’s voice in The Upside Down.
And suddenly Steve shoots up, breathing so fast that Eddie worries he’ll hyperventilate.
“Don’ g’in th’Lake,” he slurs, eyes wide. “Not safe. I c’n… swim. Has t’be me.”
“Steve,” Eddie whispers.
“Don’t drown,” Steve gets out quite clearly, and Eddie notices tears mixing with the sweat running down his face. “Don’t drown, Eddie.”

“Shit. Oh, shit,” Eddie breathes.
He sounds so close, like he’s whispering in Steve’s ear.
And then he’s gone, and Steve’s turning to see Nancy and Robin just a step behind him—they haven’t heard anything, he can tell, but they both freeze for a moment, like they can read the fear on his face, something’s wrong, something’s really wrong.
