Summary
When Grantaire Partridge's daughter, Molly , home from college, he thinks that the biggest secret he will have to keep from her is that her mother, Eponine, and he got a divorce without alerting their children. When it turns out that Molly is seven months pregnant, though, and that she's brought home a handsome friend from college, Grantaire learns that sometimes, it's harder to let love bloom and show others your emotions than it is to keep it a secret from everyone else.
For Enjolras Cauthers, falling in love with Molly's father was never in his five-year-plan, but once they begin spending time together, falling for Grantaire isn't up to Enjolras anymore. It's all in fate's hands.

The convict becomes a parole-breaker in search for forgiveness and the guard becomes an irreproachable police inspector in search of justice. At the end of the search they find each other.

Summary
Enjolras never expected to meet his high school sweetheart under such circumstances. Seeing Grantaire again brings up a lot of unresolved emotions for him, especially now that the other is engaged. After chatting with him some more, Enjolras realizes that he is still very much in love with Grantaire. And it seems like the other may have feelings for him too. The only problems seem to be a lot of misunderstandings, and a very impatient fiancee. But all is not what it seems in R's engagement, and impatience can become something much worse.

“Yes.”
There’s the sound of movement as Combeferre unplugs his phone and settles back against his pillows. “And you, somehow—stupidly, I might add—decided to make her happy by agreeing to date someone?”
“Yes.” There’s a very pregnant pause. Enjolras curls and uncurls his hands into fists.
“Right,” says Combeferre. “We’re having this conversation tomorrow.” And then he hangs up.

Enjolras has spent pretty much the entire bus ride to the Musain trying to predict how this will go, but the thing that surprises him isn't that Combeferre isn't the first to notice, or that Joly doesn't start spouting something about infant mortality rates and immediately demand that everybody bathe in Purell. No, what startles Enjolras the most is that he manages approximately half a step through the door into the back room where they all meet before Grantaire rattles his glass down on the table in the back that he's taken for his own and drawls, "Is there something you forgot to tell us, Apollo?"
That silences the room, predictably enough. Everyone breaks off their conversations and swivels to stare at him. At him, and at the baby carrier that he's got hooked over one arm.

When Grantaire bought the cheapest ticket available, he expected to find himself smashed into a narrow seat on one of the very last compartments on the train, probably marinating in some lady's heavy-handed perfume or dealing with a squalling infant in his face for the six-hour trip. But at some point he must have done something that made the universe very, very happy with him, because his compartment is empty but for one other passenger squished into one of the two window seats, and that passenger is a god.

Summer still hung in the air as Grantaire exits his parent’s sedan to look toward a stone building that looks impossibly old. This building, the largest on the Musain Academy campus, had dozens of other groups in front of it that resembles the scene he was in – parents, young boys in blazers matching his own, piles of luggage strewn like leather monuments on the bright green grass.
