Behind his eyelids, he sees Armand again, angel-trickster-god laid out on pristine white sheets soiled by shocking smears of red. Armand, a hot heavy breath in his ear as he whispers beloved like it’s a prayer. He sees himself—his younger self, hair not yet white, body not yet touched by age—the expanse of his own chest reflected by the night behind a window and Armand behind him, inside him, holding him aloft as he fucks him, one hand coming up around his chest to tip his head to the side, the flash of white fangs right before they sink into heated flesh.
