Summary
John's Fall from Grace left him bitter and disconnected from both Heaven and Hell. His only joy was a bit of temptation here and there and mocking his former brother for falling in love with an angel, of all things. However, the instant John met Sherlock Holmes, he understood why Crowley was willing to protect the angel at all costs.
He wasn't prepared for Sherlock to die, or to have to relive meeting him over and over.

Summary
When you’re a soldier in Afghanistan, sometimes you can forget anything exists except sand and sun and death; there’s so much life outside of the war zone.
When you’re a recovering (NOT AN) addict forced into a box of four plain white walls, lowkey dodgy orderlies and a pompous brother, sometimes you need to take down some of your own walls; trapped animals go wild.
When you’re John Watson and Sherlock Holmes, they always need each other.
DISCLAIMER: The dates are all wrong. The first episode of the show is released in July, which is when I have their meeting, but they do, of course, meet on January 29th. I'm so sorry! It would be nearly impossible to reshuffle everything, with mentions of holidays and the like. It annoys me too, gah sorry! In this universe, John is terribly alone and falling apart the week he's supposed to meet Sherlock, when his life is supposed to begin again.

Summary
Sherlock Holmes would never understand why people could be interested in dull things like emotions and friends in a world which also contained microbes, cryptography, and the great mystery of internal organs. That final mystery, in fact, was what at handed him in the psychologist’s office for long dull tests and questions in the first place.
“Our son tortured a cat, and then tried to burn down the house,” Mrs. Holmes insists.
Sherlock sighs, muttering under his breath, “The cat was dead. It was necropsy, not torture, and the fire clearly got out of hand. How many times?”
Sherlock swears that he will do whatever he has to in order not to be the cause of his mother’s tears ever again. He will become someone else. Someone who is capable of friendships and whatever else normal people like.
