Summary
"All done," she says, excited.
Will gets up so fast he nearly gets dizzy. He turns towards the mirror, and leans over the sink to look closely at the string in his ear.
He looks good; he knows it's so stupid but he feels more himself, more adult with these tiny bits of string in his ears. He can't wait until it heals and he can move on to wearing earrings. Imagine a small diamond in one ear and a dangling cross in the other— he'd look as cool as some of the people on Jonathan's album covers.
OR
Jane pierces Will's ears for fun. He adores it. Mike freaks out and they ignore him. set in season 4 :) -

Summary
Ever since Will came out, Mike’s been more… aware of how he interacts with him. He’s started to understand what Dustin means about his, ‘Will voice’, and while he tries to break the habit while in company, he can’t bring himself to use anything but soft tones while in private with him.
Why would he? Will smiles so sweetly when he uses it, it flips his stomach. Why is that so wrong? He’s not- you know, it’s not like he-
OR
Mike repressed his emotions so much that his subconscious forces him to go through a week full of dreams about Will; the fact that Will's in the room for the first one is just the icing on the cake. (It gets out of hand… very quickly.)

Summary
Voice dripping with amusement, Benson offers, “One puff is not gonna turn you into a smoker, Bradley.”
Bradley refocuses on Benson, and for a split second his eyes drop to Benson’s lips. “It’s Randy,” the other man murmurs absentmindedly. And then he leans forward, captures the cigarette gently, and takes a deep pull.
Is it corruption if it saves your life?

Summary
It can’t end like this.
He can feel the dry press of dirt on his lips, feel a fractured rib echoing heat into his torso, enough to warm his leather jacket. He can feel his hope shattering like a beer bottle on a brick wall at the end of a shitty night.
Dean breathes out, and it’s barely enough to rustle the leaves in front of him. He closes his eyes.
After failing to kill Lucifer with the Colt, Dean says yes to Michael to ensure Sam and Cas' safety, thus sparking the Apocalypse of biblical prophecy. But surviving it himself is another matter altogether.

Summary
Will Byers is different.
He's different in every possible sense of the word. He’s pretty sure, in fact, that he has invented new ways to be different and weird that no one else has ever explored before.
There’s the thing with his dad being a deadbeat, of course. There’s the thing where he recently spent a week in an alternate dimension. And then there’s something else—something he hasn’t quite figured out, just yet. Something that has to do with Mike Wheeler.
***
Slowburn Byler, regular updates. Starts in 1984 but will span all 5 seasons in the end, with a rewrite for the last 4 episodes of season 5!

Summary
Even after all of this time… saying yes? It was the best thing I’d ever done, Mike.
Will’s voice had been so calm when he said it. Gentle. Certain.
...
Will’s lips press together. Mike tracks it like a hawk. It’s just them here- he’s allowed to care. It’s just them.
“I’m not hungry.”
“You haven’t been hungry in two days.” Silence. it gnaws at his insides. “Will, please-”
Then, barely audible, “I’m tired, Mike.”
Or, a small post season five fix it fic, because depression doesn't just disappear, and Mike and Will need to have a talk right now more than ever.

Summary
“Is this the end?”
If this was the end, it was better than he’d dared hope.
“Sam,” a gentle voice said.
Sam was out of the Cage - or so said the stranger with blue eyes. He talked about soup, about healing, about someone called Celine Dion. But Sam knew exactly how far Lucifer would go to fake tenderness.

Summary
Sam has been struggling with depression since Stanford. Well, not really struggling. Excelling. He's been excelling at depression since Stanford, and it's only gotten worse since he started hunting again. Unfortunately, the relapses from John's death and Dean's trip to Hell were bad, but they had nothing on the downward spiral triggered by Sam starting the Apocalypse.
But Sam has never come clean before, and he isn't about to start. He's self-medicating, he's suppressing, and he's handling things in the Trademark Winchester Way. He can do this. He can totally do this.
Spoiler: No, he can't.
