Summary
Tucker loves his boyfriend.
That might be obvious, but Tucker means it from the bottom of his heart. Danny is his person, his partner, his player 2, his favorite boy in the whole entire world. He knows Danny well, and he likes to think Danny knows him well in return. So when things start changing with Danny, Tucker is quick to notice.
Danny starts showing up to school with bruises, and his smile seems off. Tucker doesn't want to suspect his boyfriend, but Danny's clearly being hurt. He tries to figure out what's going on with Danny, but things start adding up to a picture Tucker really doesn't want to admit to.
After all, how do you ask your boyfriend if his parents are abusing him?

Upon having his pride damaged, Danny realizes he needs to learn how to kiss, but great kissers aren't born—you need determination to take the first step, a splice of awkwardness to set the mood, and a willing participant for you to practice on.
Danny splits himself to practice kissing, and while it is as awkward as you would expect kissing yourself to be, circumstances keep arising that are easier to deal with apart than as one. With so much time spent separated, the question sets in: who has more right to exist if Fenton and Phantom are no longer fragments of a whole?
