Jason doesn’t have a lot of experience with babies. Jason isn’t entirely confident that he ever even was a baby. He’s seen them around, of course, rescued a couple from burning buildings, heard second hand stories about them from friends. But the closest he’s come to actually caring for an infant was the brief period he and Roy lived together.

There's just one ironclad rule in Namimori-- what happens in the town, stays within the town. It's pretty much common sense at this point, and those who try to compromise the safety of its odd citizens don't tend to end up well. People come and go, but secrets shed off in this town, where they linger, and become part of its ecosystem.
Tsuna's perfectly content staying quiet here, at least for the rest of his high school years. Compared to whatever was wrong with the other people, he was just a normal boy.
...right?
(In other words: A complete canon rewrite of KHR, but Namimori just happens to be the Universe's chaos central.)

Objectively, if Akechi were a normal detective, there would be no way to connect magical cat ears to being a Phantom Thief. But he’s not, or at least he probably isn’t, because he can hear Morgana, and that means he knows this is probably a Metaverse thing, and why did Akira agree to this, this was so stupid, he is going to get arrested and then murdered and thrown in jail in probably not that order, and, oh.
There’s a hand in his hair.
(Kurusu is infuriating and beautiful and an exception to everything. Kurusu is standing in front of him with wide eyes and big feline ears, and Goro is coming to realize that he is a fucking sucker, and he should really leave, and he definitely won’t.)

For the record, Tim had thought that punching the disappearing-people meta was a bad idea. And then he’d punched the neo-Nazi government agent in the face, so maybe he didn’t have any grounds to stand on. And then the personification of American patriotism, shady American spy branches, and said neo-Nazi organization that was probably part of the aforementioned came after them, and that was completely his fault.
Or: Tim and Cass get themselves involved, which has never not spelled out trouble.
