When Stiles grabs his glasses, he lets out a victory hoot, pumping his fist in excitement. He puts them back on and stands back up, leaning down to brush leaves and dirt off his knees and socks. They're a little dirty but that's okay, it's not like -
A low growl.
Fear skitters up his spine. Slowly, Stiles turns around, heart in his throat, and sees the - the werewolf.
At least he thinks it's a werewolf. It doesn't look like anyone he knows. For one thing, it's monstrous, all furry and black, standing on two hock-jointed legs. Its chest is broad, skin inky-black and shiny under the moonlight. Its hands are massive, the fingers long and curved into wicked claws. Its face is utterly inhuman, with a snout and everything.
The eyes burn like fire, searing red.
An Alpha werewolf.

I need more de-aged Derek and pregnant mate Stiles! Can you imagine de-aged teen Derek being told he has a family of his own? Like the baby(babies) are born and he's like that for like...a weekend or maybe even a week or longer. And it's just overwhelming and awesome and funny and teendaddy Derek trying to also be a doting husband/mate and maybe they have to go out...because the babies have chickenpox and they need the pink lotion to help with the itching(Do werewolves get chicken pox? Maybe one of the babies is human and got it in case Were's can't?) and Derek is torn from staying with his pups and getting something that will help their recovery? I dunno...just...de-aged daddy Derek that's mates with Stiles is TOO cute an image!!!!

Meanwhile, Derek is feeling guilty about savoring the opportunity to glue himself to Stiles' side, trying to support his learning of magic, and mostly ignoring the meddling family members that definitely want something from Stiles, even though they don't deserve a second of his time.

In the end, it was Derek who smiled at him in placation and pressed the last calming kiss to Stiles’ eager lips. As if they had all time in the world. As if they would be doing it again and again and again, after. As if something real would exist beyond this TV set.
Yes, Derek kissed him like he wanted it to last. If Stiles was a romantic at heart, he would’ve said it felt like yearning. For what — Stiles didn’t know. There ought to be thousands like him in Derek’s world, while Derek was one in a million.

Summary
Derek prowled through the pack’s territory, his movements slow and methodical as he marked the trees lining the border. The scent of his claim lingered in the crisp night air, a silent warning to any who dared trespass. The neighboring packs knew better than to encroach on Hale land, so his patrols were usually uneventful—save for the occasional lone wolf foolish enough to test their luck.
Nose to the ground, Derek inhaled deeply, the damp earth and crushed grass filling his lungs. He swept forward, the tickle of blades against his snout barely registering—until something new curled into his senses.
Sweet.
His ears flicked forward, body going still as he took another deep pull of air. The scent was intoxicating, a cloying heat laced with something sharp and distinctly fox. An omega in heat.
Derek’s mouth parted slightly, his tongue running over his lips as he tracked the scent. He’d never been drawn to a fox before—usually, their scent barely registered. But this one? This one called to him. Urged him forward like a force of nature.
He followed the twisting, erratic trail, weaving through the underbrush with effortless grace. The omega was either playing or completely lost.
