“Wanna come up,” Minghao asks him, blinking away sleep, smiling just a little, cutely. Mingyu freezes on the spot, eyes focused on the side of Minghao's face. “Um, can't, sorry. I have work,” he sputters out before he can think.
What is obvious is Minghao's curiosity. He hasn't pried, ever. Even before, when they were only friends. But Mingyu is hyperaware of the fact that Minghao looks at him like he is waiting for Mingyu to open up. He is, right now, looking at Mingyu like he knows he is being lied to.
“Okay. Can I stay over at yours then? I'll pack an overnight bag,” he offers, testing waters perhaps. And Mingyu has two options: either take up the challenge and show Minghao nothing is wrong or keep him curious.
“Okay,” Mingyu answers over the bile in his throat. Minghao laughs, loud and concerning, all sleep gone out of his eyes. “Good night, Mingyu. Text me when you reach,” he says and gets out of the car, leaving Mingyu feeling like every bit of the loser he is.

Summary
What is the secret behind a strong, longstanding friend group? One that has seen the highest and the lowest points of each person, through teenage to adulthood? Of course, love is a significant and major answer. Love, which is seen in their everyday actions for each other. There is no denial there.
What about the secrets within, though?
Is it necessary that a group of best friends is completely open books for each other? Or maybe, just maybe, what keeps the friendships strong and alive are the deeply locked secrets themselves. Maybe it's the burial of confessions.
This is the story at the heart of friendships, with branches tangled in love. By the end of it all, will any of it survive without dooming scars?

Summary
"Is there something you want to tell me, Jisoo?" he heard Seokmin ask, the hoarseness in his voice, the broken tone of his question catching him slightly off-guard. Ache blossoming like flowers inside his chest, he breathed in and out in an attempt to not entirely fall apart right then and there; the other man sounded so vulnerable, so aghast that when the guilt and shame he tried to bat away earlier came hurtling at him in waves, he allowed himself to drown.
"Is there something you want to know?" he drawled out, grimacing when his sentiment came out like a whimper. Lump forming at the base of his throat, the slimy fingers of silence that had him chokehold before had transformed into a knife plunged deep in his stomach, dread and regret filling his veins, cold and metallic, entirely unprepared to see the anguish in his lover's face when he finally turned to face him.
When Seokmin asked Jisoo if he still loved him, he shouldn’t have said yes– between lonely nights and forgotten anniversaries, the last thing he should do was kiss his lover. But after a failed attempt at infidelity, his love for him grew quite immensely.
