Não era de se espantar que organizações criminosas existissem em quantidade exorbitante em Jakku, o lugar perfeito para se esconder quando não se quer se encontrado, ou pior, para contrabando de armas, drogas e prostituição. Não era a máfia como se via em filmes, onde usavam aquelas roupas bregas e chamativas, mas eram pessoas extremamente perigosas que usavam ternos, abriam negócios e sorriam igual ao diabo, lhe diziam o quanto gostaram de você e no dia seguinte seu corpo estaria boiando no rio mais próximo.
Onde Rey é guarda costas e o resto é história.

[The scar] crept up from under his collar along his neck, and her eyes traced the length of it. The part that disappeared under the thick, dark waves covering his right eye was still stitched closed with fresh black sutures twisting deep into his skin. He must have been split open to the bone.
Whatever happened had hurt, in more ways than one, and that hurt was reflected now in the way his lovely mouth dropped open in fear and how horror darkened the one eye fixated on Rey’s face.
