    Summary

“And get this.” Tighnari leans forward conspiratorially. “Durin apparently wanted Hat Guy to show him around the Akademiya. He initially said no, but then Durin pouted and he agreed.”

Kaveh’s jaw drops, gasping with all the dramatics that this situation requires. Alhaitham’s eyebrows even raise slightly, almost like he’s impressed. “What?” Kaveh whispers. “This is the same guy who once told a toddler sobbing in the street to get a hold of himself, yes?”

“Precisely.” Really, Tighnari doesn’t consider himself one prone to gossip. He’s more so… intrigued. Have they known each other for a long time? If so, why haven’t they ever heard of or seen him until now? And how would they know each other?

There's a new dragon in town, and he somehow has the ability to befriend Hat Guy of all people. Tighnari, Cyno, Alhaitham, and Kaveh (who have all known Hat Guy for much longer, thank you) are determined to solve the mystery.

    Summary

“Glad to see you back among the living,” Phainon says through a yawn, clearly having spent the night in the uncomfortable chair in the infirmary by Mydei’s side. Like he often does.

Mydei’s head hurts. Just the regular kind of pain, easily managed by ignoring it until it goes away. But what makes it worse, is the confusion at his predicament. The memories returning to him in death used to vary in time and people who appeared in them. Why is it always Phainon nowadays?

“Fuck you,” Mydei says, hoarsely. He feels like he is losing his mind.

Phainon’s mouth locks mid-yawn and he blinks down at him stupidly, tilting his head with confusion. It’s probably fair, he hasn’t even done anything to earn Mydei’s ire as of late.

or; Human brain lives for a few more minutes after dying, replaying the most cherished memories. Mydei starts seeing Phainon after each of his deaths.

    Summary

But for Mydei – who initially revived the ancient tradition for no one but himself as a reminder of his own resolve – it swelled into something beyond history’s takes. It became a symbol of both his personal strength, and his dedication and trust in the flame chase journey. His unwavering conviction in his companions.

Mydeimos had always viewed his mother nation as a place that valued actions over empty air. And he’d been keen to follow that legacy. Each and every chrysos heir had corded his hair into the braid that had become ubiquitous with his name and face at least once, though each surely had their own reason for doing so.

But no matter who, the prince’s own reason was always the same.

“I have no reason to distrust my companions."

    Summary

There was screaming. Or maybe there had been.
    Anaxagoras couldn’t tell.
He lay on his side, his body pressed against the cracked pavement, his cheek grinding into the coarse, rough concrete. His coat, twisted and tangled like a flag left to rot in a forgotten battlefield, draped over him in disarray. The fabric felt heavier than it had any right to. Smoke slithered through the air, thick and suffocating, curling and clinging to his lungs as if it, too, wanted to drag him into the chaos. The acrid bite of burning rubber and scorched coolant clawed at his throat, making each shallow breath a bitter fight. Somewhere, a sob echoed, distant and breaking, the sound warped by the fog of pain pressing in around him.

AKA - Professor Anaxa gets into a bus accident and starts hallucinating the God of Reason. (MODERN AU with elements of alchemy and fantasy)
